Has anybody solved this issue yet? I seen 1 other person talking about it and wondering if anybody else has come across it.
It's happening with MLB 10 The Show for me, while I enough room, could it just be the game?

Delete something from your PS3 and try again. If that doesn't work then edit the game to play from USB and see if that works. I'm thinking this issue may have something to do with the fact it's running as a HDD game and then wants to install to the HDD. Sure it works when playing mounted, but in that case the PS3 thinks it's a disc, maybe since this is an outright HDD game it causes a problem.
IIRC GTA4 was giving the same problem, but this guy has solved it, so ask him what he did:
http://psx-scene.com/forums/f187/pkg...-55-fzk-75638/ (PKG EBOOT.BIN 100% works FOR 3.55 BY FZK)
This is most propably because of the hdd0/game/gameid being a game folder instead of a data folder and the game need it's data folder to read/write its cache
Will be elaborated as i've posted it and seek for confirmation
Vanquish installs and plays fine for me, all game files in the /gameid/usrdir/ folder too. Might be game specific/console model problem. OP on a fat ps3 by any chance?
Slim that was purchased right around Christmas.
vanquish wont install on my 320 gig slim so u might be right there necriss
So will there never be a way around this?
If I redid the bin to go to usb001 it would screw it up correct? Going to my external.
Putting it to my external I get a black screen after the sony epilepsy warning.
