Front Mission Evolved update 1.20

Hey all,
When I launch Front Mission Evolved PS3 USA, it prompts for update 1.02 (sorry, my mistake in the title, it's not 1.20 but 1.02).

If I update, at the end when the game is supposed to come back I get a black screen / frozen ps3. (tried 3 times)

If I don't update, everything works fine but it prompts for update at each launch (yeah I can edit the param.sfo, but i'd rather update it properly).

Is this a known issue with this game?
Does anyone have FME + update 1.02 working properly?
I'm using Hermes v4b, all other game updates install and work properly.

its because the new updates are all 3.50+ signed. no new updates will work anymore. try for another game and u'll get the same result, unless the update available is a 3.41 or lower signed update.

Thanks for your answer Kramer, makes sense.
It's the _only_ game that gave me issues with updates so far so I was wondering..
I guess the updated eboot could be decrypted and resigned to work for 3.41 but I guess i'll just wait at this point ^^;
