Final Fantasy XIII ~ Directboot ~ Take a screenshot feature
Final Fantasy XIII ~ Directboot ~ Take a screenshot feature –
I'm looking for some help
I have Final Fantasy XIII Pal version [MRTC00003] and I want to take 1920*1080 HD pictures from the game itself.
In order to do that, we need to launch the game with the Directboot method inside multiman.
Unfortunately, Multiman doesn't let me launch this game through Directboot.
It's just making a "black screen" (or a White screen, seems to be the SQUARE ENIX logo) and freeze.
I tried to change the eboot (I have three eboots, one with a PKG to install in order to launch the game from the XMB, another for having every characters stats in MAX, and the original one) but it doesn't seems to affect anything.
Same when I try to edit the SFO file.
Can you help me, please, to run it through Directboot, or to unlock the "Take a screenshot" feature inside the PS3 (when we press the PS button) with this game?
Do the game launch through directboot with another version (NTSC, NTSC-J?)
Thanks very much in advance for your help
Simply put, you can't.
FFXIII attempts to scale down the resolution when directly booting which causes it to not work, so what you wish to do cannot be done.
There must be a way.
Maybe someone can make a PKG which will unlock the screenshot feature and then, launch the game from XMB...
Or a fix could be done in Multiman, but I don't expect it...
BTW, is there a way to unlock permently the "Take a screenshot" feature? It is the best way to fulfill my wish (since I don't expect a Directboot fix nor a special PKG for unlocking this on FFXIII), and lot of people are requesting that feature too.
I don't know if it could be done with a FW modification or just a PKG which will always enable it.
