Final Fantasy 13 (MRTC00003) freezes after the second fight with Barthandelus on Chapter 11

Hello,

I'm playing FF13 with a external HDD and everything worked fine since now. After the second fight with Barthandelus on Chapter 11. When I decide to fly back to Cocoon a cutscene begins and I can save. But after this the game seems to freeze. I still can pause the game and skip the cutscene but it remains black with no sound.

Anybody knows this problem?

Hmmmm. Can't be sure but you said you're playing it on an external HDD? I've heard there's a cutscene file in FFXIII that's larger than 4gbs and files larger than 4gb can't run from an external HDD. look into it a little further, but like I said I'm not 100% sure if that's the issue.

i'm playing on kmeaw 3.55 + MM 1.14. It also freeze at the same location. FF XIII is located on internal HDD.

Please help?

-Edit- not freeze actually, i can exit to XMB, press start and i have the option to skip the cutscene. if i choose to skip, then the game just stuck at the black screen...

It'a so frustrating when you farmed 5 hours and came up with a stupid black screen!!

thank god so if u put it in internal it will not freeze in chapter 11??

Read my post. FF13 is located at internal HDD. Still hangs at the cutscene.

maybe some files is still not merge in ur USRDIR folder.
