fat32 usb hdd contains backups suddenly vanish
fat32 usb hdd contains backups suddenly vanish –
I have fat32 usb hdd contains game backups that i have. When I disconnect the drive and connect to pc, pc reported no files in the drive. i dont want to copy all my game to my hd again. anybody knows what to do?
if on windows 7, go to my computer, organize, folder and search options, view tab, select show hidden files and folders, uncheck hide protected operating system files, and press ok.
not only that did not work(ive already show protected operating file), the name of the drive change(from PS3HDD to Local Disk). am using winxp.
does it show that drive space is occupied for the usb hdd on win xp? ex. 120GB free of 160GB
Had a same problem once. Only fix for it as far as I know was reformat it with diffrent program and transfer all the games back.
it correctly show the data occupied
do the games work on the ps3 when connected to it? another thing that comes to my mind is that maybe your usb hdd is usb 2.0 and your xp machine's usb slot is USB 1.0. i had a pci card that supported usb 2.0 back when i had xp as my main OS so i would use that for faster speeds/drives.
