I wonder if all the exciting news about keys and cfw will help with these black screen games ie tomb raider underground etc. I realize many games need a newer firmware however there are still several older games that still don't run

Obviously time will tell but any thoughts?

One has absolutely nothing to do with the other.

Black screen games don't work due to the backup manager or the SDK that the game was compiled with.
Fail0verflow is a firmware / bootloader / signiture hack. That can't help you with non-working backups. Surely a OLD blackscreen game isn't a problem as an old game should run from the BD 100% fine as you OWN the disk.
