External HDD Q's

Can someone be so kind as to recommend external hdd's that are in the range of 200-500gb? any special things I need to look for...like RPMs, I read you need it to be 5400 only, is this true? I am currently looking at and wanting to buy the Maxtor OneTouch III 200 GB External .also, do I still need to do the steps to make 4gb+ files work on FAT32 on ps3 method? Or has this error been dealt with via multiman? Thank you.

Scratch the post above...found a guide showing how to get games larger than 4gb on ext but i do not understand the transfer method. Ok, i have my split files in my split game. Now there's just 1 game folder, i transfer it over to the ps3 ext using a drag and drop method corrrect? And now i load MM and play it, but dont i have to have MM join the files back together for it to play correctly? This is where i get confused. Does anyone have a guide with pics or a video i can look at explaining the 4gb+ games and games with4gb+ files on an external hdd using MM method? I also found out that its best to have an ext hdd that rpms match you're ps3s int hdd. Thank you for youre help.
