    Well, i was planning to backup some of my games onto my External Hraddrive. Now, one question, how do i format it, there are two settings exFAT and NTFS, which do i use?

    It needs to be formatted as FAT32. Google fat32format, Gparted Live CD, or swissknife and use one of them to format it. Once formatted, create a folder on the drive called GAMEZ. This is where all your backups will go.

    I've heard that FAT32 devices can only hold files with a max size of 4gb, is this true?

    Yep, but just because a game is 23gb, doesn't mean it has files over 4gb. No single file can be over 4gb. Goto PS Jailbreak Compatibility List - Home for a good idea of what does/doesn't have to large of files.

    They all seem to be for Windows XP, however i have Windows 7...

    fat32format is a dos tool (command line), swissknife may or may not work, and gparted is a livecd that you boot your computer with (linux). So, try again

    use easeus partition master. best program i have found for setting up an external drive in windows 7
