Either a black screen or Error 80010009, whats next?

I was on JB 3.41 so I edited my PARAM.SFO on Call of Duty Black Ops so that it would play. Then when I installed Kmeaw 3.55 CFW, Black ops started to give me Error 80010009 and wouldnt boot.

to get it to work, I replaced the PARAM.SFO with the original version and I also replaced the EBOOT file(not sure this was necessary but I couldnt remember whether this game needed an edited EBOOT, so wasnt sure if I`d replaced the original, anyway I replaced with the orginal to make sure). This still gave me the error, so my last effort was to download Game update v.1.05 Pkg and install that.

This has made the game work again. Just thought I`d share incase it works for other people too.

From what package are u talking?
It seems to me, that u are trying to do diffent things in one...
If u use One of the new cfw where peek&poke are supported and a Manager with lv2patch included, u Do Not need to install any pkg.
The normal way would be : take ur game disc, put it in and copy the game to ur hdd using multiman or gaia.
If u already have a copy, UNPATCHED, u only need to copy the whole gameid folder to /dev_hdd0/Gamez... (the path depends on the Manager u are using)

The Part with installing the pkg and copy a patched eboot, is for playing games without a Manager, and require the game pkg and a properly patched and resigned eboot...

i only have one blu ray game, so i wanna other games. how do i do that. i know yu just dont install the package. you gotta take the userdir, PARAM.SFO, etc (w/ all contents), then put it ina folder named PS3_GAME, then i put that folder in the GAMEID folder like (BLES00949). then i ftp
BLES00949 to dev_hdd0/GAMES

dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLES00949 with all original files rite. im on kwamw 3.55 with gaia, multiman, rogero, lv2.pkg, n fix permission.

Patched Black Ops with 1.06 update patch downloaded from Awesome Update Finder.. Installed from XMB and Game is now working

just recently updated my PS3 from old jb dongle open manager fw3.41 TO cfw kmeaw 3.55 with multiman 2.00.05. everything works fine except for the following games:
1. borderlands - black screen issue
2. heavy rain - black sceern issue
3. mass effect 2 - 80010009 error.
