Maybe you didn't save it correctly, download the SFO that you edited, open it in SFO editor and see if it has been changed to 3.4100
It was saved right... otherwise it wouldn't pass the first check for firmware version (when you press "X" on the game to launch it from XMB... after having started it from the bakcup manager). But I did recheck this and it is right. Also I tried with 3.4000 and 3.4100, still no cigar
I suggest using hermes v4 and open manager 2.1 like the OP then. Also copy the game from external to internal with the backup manager.
Could you clarify what exactly need to be done to the backup please ?
Only editing the SFO to change the PS3_SYSTEM_VER from 03.4200 to 03.4100 ? Or does it require additional steps like Medal of Honnor (changing EBOOT.BIN or something else) ?
Teensy 2.0 with Hermes_v4b
Open Backup Manager 1.17.2
- Transfered the game onto my harddrive
- Edited the .sfo file using the PS3SFOEdit 0.8 from 03.4200 to 03.4100
- Plugged in the harddrive to my PS3
- Started Open Backup Manager and used "normal mode"
- Choose MMA game and started it from disc icon in XMB

where is open manager 2.1
all i can find is the 1.17
I got it to work... the following setup worked on the first try :
The steps described by Frigolit are the ones to follow in my opinon.
Dongle: Minimus 32 AVR (ATMEGA32U2)
Jailbreak: Hermes v4b
Manager: Gaia Manager RC10
Thanks for your help, all of you
**EDIT** For information, the fact that Open Gaia RC10 is now using OpenBM 1.17.1 tech to run games disc less must not be a stranger to the resolution of this problem... But I couldn't get it to work with Hermes v4, I had to update to v4b

So for people who still have the 80010019 error when launching EA MMA even after editing PARAM.SFO, just install Awesome Peek Poker from NZHawk, go to the offset 4F290, and change 419EFFD4 (in my case at least) to 4BFFFFD4.
Then you can finally run EA MMA without this error. Enjoy !
PS : this can easily be added on some Open Manager so no need to use Awesome Peek Poker every time you reboot your console, but i'm too lazy to compile one.
