Some of the games I have, when backed up, have files larger than 4GB, can I use split4G on these then move them to my external USB rather than keeping them on my internal HDD? Will backup loaders play games with split files?

Multiman states "(PC SPLIT) SPLIT4G.EXE _: Application to split 4GB+ (large) files (split4g.exe) for transfer to USB FAT32, compatible with multiMAN's JOIN/SPLIT functions and Comgenie's FileManager", but do the JOIN/SPLIT functions it refers to only work when copying to and from the internal HDD, or will it actually play the split game?

    To my knowledge:

    1) Split large files with the tools you find on this forum
    2) Copy game to external HDD
    3) Open backup manager and copy game to internal HDD
The Backup manager should not join the split files automatically
    4) Play game from internal HDD..

Note: I tried this too with Red Dead Redemption. However I still get the error "Cannot play split games". Even though there are no split files available at all.
