Dealing With Compressed Headers?
Dealing With Compressed Headers? –
Hey guys, yea i've been trying my hands on Eboot's of many games here, so far only NFS has worked perfectly fine when i modify it myself.
My question would be for games such as POP forgotten sands, with compressed headers -
HOW do we even replace the hex?
Its inflated and gives an eboot.bin if i makeself the inflated .elf file. however when loading the game it gives a 807.... error. Any help on this?
And also sections that start with an header and end of with 0000000? how do we detect the block size?
Good question, I was wondering that myself.
BTW, how the hell did you get NFS working? My file tries booting, but goes right back to the xmb. After changing to fself, setting decrypted status, and copying elf sections, is there something else I am missing?
well actually because the NFS eboot doesnt contain any compressed headers all i did was to use cgywin and unself the eboot.bin and makeself app 341 eboot.elf eboot2.bin.
Before u copy that eboot2.bin, make sure u rename it to EBOOT.BIN in caps. It should work for all regions - US EU and ASIA.
I'll try that, thanks.
I don't think they have released/found a way to uncompress headers for editing yet (been researching).
oh man! then how'd they do games like splatter house? would be helpful if some dev releases a way to recompress the headers
