Dead Rising 2 Freezes Platinum Strip : SOLVED

So I'm using the BLES00948(EUR) version of Dead Rising 2. I'm using Kmeaws firmware, with MultiMan. Everytime I get out of the arena to Platinum Park in the beginning it loads for maybe a second or two then just freezes. I've tried replacing the eboot/param.sfo with unmodified copies. Anyone have any advice on what to do?

i am having the same issue someone should rip maybe another copy?

Why would you modify them in the first place if you're on 3.55? Tried deleting game data and loading again?

I finally got it to work using Geohots and the pkg method.

1.delete dead rising 2 from under game if its there
2.delete dead rising 2 from game data utility if its there
3restart your ps3
4.install pkg
5.copy all files from the archive into dev_hdd0/game/BLES00001 (you can overwrite the eboot because its the same one in the archve)
6.copy your data folder into dev_hdd0/game/BLES00001/USRDIR
7.restart your ps3
8.start dead rising 2 and it should start installing game data
9.enjoy

P.S. When you first run the game it will show corrupt game data,but run it second time and it will install.

Also, edit the param.sfo file from BLES00948 to BLES00001, otherwise you'll get a black screen

If he follows the tut I gave him,he doesn't need to do this.

It says to copy the data folder. What data folder and where is it found? Sorry I'm a newb

So in order to do this (I'm on kmeaw now) I would have to reinstall 3.55OFW, install Geohots cfw, then run through your tutorial? Should I just wait for a fix on kmeaw or do you think it will ever come?

Do the backup managers work now with geohots? Sorry for the noob question.
