Dead Rising 2 FIX –
I just got this workin after wks of trying..
follow someoneCRO TUT
http://psx-scene.com/forums/f187/dea...-solved-77610/ (Dead Rising 2 Freezes Platinum Strip : SOLVED)
For the people that the game is freezing in the first mission i manage to fix the problem editing the PARAF.SFO file using the notepad. You need to change the values of the firmware required, when you open the file the default is 3.4100, change to 3.5500 and save .this works for me and im using kmeaw 3.55 & multiman.
if u have euro version also change the game folder name to bles00948( the folder that u added from TUT above ).
edited to add:
This is directions & folder structure if using multiman.
start ftp sever again go into hdd0/game bles0001, open & edit via yr ftp client the param/sfo with notepad where it says 03.4100 to 03.5500 then save it.
IF you have EU version of game change the BLES0001 name to BLES00948 if U.S version leave alone.
Then go into hdd0/games & follow same instruction.
Restart ps3 then run game from XMB not multiman.
hope this helps..
Every1 stop staying "works fine if u use external", not every1 has external & This guide works, no need to use external.

What's the difference from "archive" and "data folder?"
Is the archive files the folder I download from his link? Do I just stick that on a USB and transfer it over to dev_hdd0/game/BLES00001?
I was having this problem for day's & couldn't figure out what was causing it. All I did was move the game from internal HDD to my external HDD & then it would play past that part when you exit the stadium.

I did everything above and got a game corrupted message.
I'm not sure what's wrong, I edited the PARAF.SFO file and then FTP'd it over.
Same here. No need to edit anything in the original backup folders. Just run it off an EXT. drive instead of the internal.

Because everyone has external drives lying around.
Anyone trying to play backups of most PS3 games would, if they bothered to read any if the 50 or so game backup compatibility threads.

I have all 16 of my games backed up. This is the only one giving me an issue, I use two PS3's and having to switch CD's constantly is a hassle.
..an external drive was never a requirement, I plan on getting one, but for the time being, I don't have it. I'd ask you to stop being a raging dipshit, but its apparently ingrained in you.
I ripped this to my drive also and have freezing in the beginning. The only difference with other users and myself is I'm still on 3.41 jb. Is there a fix for us on 3.41?
