09-02-2012,09:57 PM
ok i bought dead island (blus30790) and have tried a few fixes to no luck....i tried installing 1.04 patch...then the fix i generated with ps3 auto fix v1.1 but get a error this game requires 3.60 update...tried changing the parm .sfo file to 3.55 (in game folder and in update game folder) and still get the game requires 3.60 update...if i delete game data 1.04 and try and run it it then tries to load but kicks me back to xmb with an error code....this game is driving me nuts and any help would be appreciated

sounds like you don't have a spoofer installed if you're being told to do a system update. Just editing the param.sfo in the installed game folder doesn't update the database until you do a successful launch of the game. Also that tool never worked for me. aldostools' klicense bruteforce tool patched all my games with no problem. I put up a short guide on it here (uncharted 1.12 fix error 8001003c works on tb cfw, not kmeaw)

You shouldn't be using goodfix.bat or have to hex edit it manually. aldostools' app is all automated except for the ftp transfer of the files back and forth. I think you're using an old bat file with scetool. make sure you grab the bruteforce tool and follow the instructions on that link above and it should work for you

thx LilGrim i got it working with that....but i would still like to make my own in the future....BahumatLord even when i am using aldostools' app when i go to encript i get that same error....i tried searching but can't find anyone that has that same error...i also tried this method u mentioned
use multiMAN to download the game updates. It will only download updates up to and including 3.60.
install the updates. if you have multiple updates for the same game, make sure you install them all in order
load multiman again and ftp/copy the eboot and any .self/.sprx files into the klicense tool directory from dev_hdd0/game/**GAMEID**/....
If it just used an eboot, run ebootfix.bat
if it had .self/.sprx files too run bruteforce.exe instead of ebootfix.bat. It will get the klicense so the self/sprx files can be decrypted and resigned. Some licenses are already stored. If it's not stored you'll just have to let the program run. It could take up to an hour to find the license
after everything is done ftp/copy the newly patched files back into dev_hdd0/game/**GAMEID** to the proper place
it only had one update....1.04 i installed it....took out the eboot.bin ran it threw ebootfix.bat got a new eboot (aproximatly half the size of the original) copied it back to the game id folder....tried running it...still got the must install 3.60 error...changed the parm.sfo to 3.55....still got the error...changed the original parm.sfo (in the backup folder) still got the same error...deleated the update file....tried running game again still didn't work (now get a black screen do to it trying to load the original eboot)...

Your welcome,
Still would like a External Fix so it can go right on to my External Drive,
But a fix is a Fix Happy just to play it.....
