On some external USB devices (like PSP) files copied to them are not visible in Windows since the PS3 marks them as "System Files". To view them, Enable viewing of system files like explained herehttp://www.mydigitallife.info/2006/0...s-and-folders/.
It's a known issue, and i still don't know why this is happening. But I'll look at it and try to fix it in a newer version.
wow great app hank you for your hard work!
Altough i really really thought Dlanor would have had his uLaunchef for PS3 released :P hehe
I wish...! But nothing like that can happen for a long time, due to two reasons:

2: I'm a total novice when it comes to the PS3 hardware platform, and how it can be accessed from software. And this is a MUCH harder lesson to learn than the CPU stuff.
So I will have to start slow, basing early attempts mostly on examples by others and only later be able to start using the platform efficiently on my own. These things take time, for me as much as for anyone else.
Best regards: dlanor
Thanks for the useful tool, save me lots of trouble from ftp, keep d/c and crash and incomplete transfer. Now i can transfer games with < 4GB files from usb hdd to internal hdd. I hope progress status added soon to the next update.
Still have to use ftp for games with >4gb files.
Both apps are very useful, only require more stable.
Keep up the good work.
Version 0.03 is out now . With scrolling and backing up >4GB files. Please see the Authors thread.
Also thanks everyone for the great suggestions and compliments
How to >4GB file backupping
In version 0.03, All files/folders copied from the internal disk (like /dev_hdd0/game/LAUN12345/GAMEZ/)
to the external disk (/dev_usb .. ) which are larger than 4GB will be splitted in multiple parts.
When copying the files back from external to internal, those files will be merged again.
Comgenie, you are doing some awesome work here. I want to thank you from all of us and the community as a whole! KUDOS!!!
Good job Comgenie, can't wait too try it out next week.

Some games aren't bad in size but some are way huge.
hm, does this allow to copy from external to internal?
i mean i have some games with files over 4gb on external ntfs drive, can this program detect this files or?
if so i still have to use ftp program :/ and i really dont see where this program fits in
