Over at PS3HAX, another "homebrew" package file has been released.

This one allows you to DIRECTLY manage your files on your PS3 itself, looking at them, moving them, copying them.

Much like you can do via FTP, but now on the PS3 itself, without the need of using your PC and the FTP program.

There is now an second version, labelled v0.02 by the author, and he also notes there is a few known issues which he will be fixing in an later version, that he is hard at work on!

* When copying a file, everything 'hangs' till the copy is done.
* No scrolling yet

Also an important note:

Be careful! It is a very dangerous tool if you don't know what you're doing.
I'm not responsible in any way!

NOW been Updated to v0.02, see author's thread for even more possible updates!

* You can now also copy directories, and delete empty directories!
* The copying speed is also improved! (From external to internal i copied 8.11GB in 15 minutes).

This seems like a dangerous app. If there's no confirmation of what you're doing" Are you sure you want to (insert what you were trying to do). If it just does things, then you may wanna wait this one out.

I know many got their jailbreaks and are eager to try these things out, but that also leads to trouble. I like the progress the scene has made in these short few weeks, but I'm not going to go nuts when I get my board.

Man, I love seeing the scene move forward like this. Definitely going to keep my eye on this, hopefully see if the transfer speeds and the whole "machine hangs during transfer" scenario. GREAT STUFF!

Agreed and well warned - BUT too many Aug/Sept joiners acting like teenagers who have just found something hard down below. Though not all !

Agreed, you could feck things up too easily if you dont know what your doing but you could do the same with the FTP app

Yes but its slow atm

someone reported the following :

everytime i try to write to it (/dev_flash) i end up having to reinstall Firmware not that thats a bad thing means its doing something

I dont wanna have to do that all the time!
