can't play uncharted 3 after after firmware

I got my ps3 slim modded with cfw 3.55 kmeaw

but I cant play uncharted 3 original.
I can play if I make a backup but I dont have alot off free space on my hdd..

Other games from disc still work..

I'm sorry for my bad english & Im kinda noob with this because I just got my ps3 but hope somebody can give me some pointers on what to do next!!

Sadly the only way you can play it is to copy it over to your hdd and replace some of the files with fixed ones.
There are a couple of ways you can save space, deleting the 3D video files for instance (assuming you don't want 3D video) can get the video files down to 12.4 gig. You can also re-encode the video files (getting them down to 5.4gig)

There's another version (unsure of region) at Uncharted 3 REAL PROPER FIX for CFW 3.55

Here's the info on re-compressing the video:

I used TMPGEnc 4 with the following settings:

Stream format: MPEG-2 Video
Profile & Level: MP@H-14
Size: 1280x720
Aspect ratio: Display 16:9
Framerate: 30fps
Rate control mode: CBR (constant)
VBV buffer: 224
Video system: Component
DC component precision: 8 bit
Display mode: Progressive

Output stream type: ES (Video only)

Bitrate: 6000 Kb/s

I tried resizing the videos to 720x480 but it doesn't play back properly. The quality at 6000 Kb/s is not that bad at all, a bit of blocking when faces move across the screen quickly (during a fight) and panning in the jungle. My movies1 folder is now 5.41 GB instead of the 12.4 GB from the normal rip.

Could he repack the 1.13-14 updates since they're signed with 3.60? or is it just one of those games.

I presume so, if they're 3.60 but it's not quite as easy as just drag and drop from what I can tell, unless other people are able to get some of the drag and drop software to do it, personally I found the ones I tried a complete piece of shit that don't actually work, might of just be because I'm on xp 64, or just stupid

lol, yep I found the same thing, I ended up giving up on those tools(maybe better ones now) and just installed the patch's then take the eboot out, re-sign it and put it back. I don't have the original of uncharted 3 to try though

I did removed the 3D Movies but making the remaining movies smaller?! Im glad that I have this firmware & have no troubles with it but why this game?? haha
But I felt the need to ask for this because maybe I was missing some trick to get it working.. thnx for helping out!!
