Can we play backups with Patched 3.55 v2 PUP w/ Peek & Poke Syscalls?

I'm so confused. Can we? Or should I just stay at 3.41 FW?

I read this article here throughly:

Update: I’ve patched the 3.55 PUP for you. You can download it here. Remember: install OFW 3.55 first, then this peek & poke PUP, then geohot’s.

I have those files, if I just follow those instructions I can play backups?

If you want to play DC Universe Online then upgrade.

We're playing backups without peek&poke/syscalls. They were never required to run backups. People just believed what GeoHot said like sheep. The truth is we can't mount without syscalls.

I'm staying on 3.41 until the number of .pkg games increases.

The peek/poke update has been proven not to work because of extra patches Sony made to lvl2 in firmware 3.55. You'll have to be paitient for now.

Ok, thanks I'm just going to upgrade on my new slim (my fat one that I got for free will stay on 3.41 because my slim is already on 3.55 so I have nothing to lose!)

Also is it possible to play backups w/o jailbreaking everytime on my FAT PS3? Every time I turn it on I have to jailbreak it again with my TI-84.

If you're going to play DC Universe then leave your Slim on the real 3.55 for now, to ensure Sony don't ban you or anything.

Remember there are retail 3.41 packages too, so you can run stuff without JBing on your Fat.
