Has any one tried this(Call.of.Duty.Black.Ops.II.Eboot.Patch.PS3-DUPLEX) on the US version? I have US version and wanna know if it's do'able.

    Just to be clear:
I have my own version. I don't need the Duplex release. I'm not going to go get the Duplex release.

Check if the Trophy folder is named the same. If it is, then it should work. Just don't transfer the edited BLES param.sfo from the patch, and I think it should still work. And remember to always backup the files you replace.

More details here on the name of the trophy folder: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f187/cal...9/#post1018742 (Call Of Duty Black Ops II Eboot Patch (INSTRUCTIONS))

OK, What about the DLC of Duplex? I forgot to ask that.

P.S. I'm sure I could probably try it and see. It's in a PKG.

P.S.s. Just looked inside the PKG and it's a EU folder of course. EU ID, PARAM.SFO might just need to be changed up.

Edit3: OK, I repacked it with my tools to the US release and I haven't tried it yet. The only thing though is that is if you look inside the .edat it's got "EP0002-BLES01717_00-DUPLEXDUPLEXDLC2 " in it. Can .edat's be edited? and with what?

You mean Nuketown 2025 DLC? Keep in mind that this only works for online playing. So if you plan to play online, then it's worth the effort.

Well this is going to be a bit tricky. The reason for this is because the main game does not install any game data naturally. And since you have the BLUS version, I am not sure whether the patched eboot will still look for BLES game updates for info on DLC updates even though you may still use the BLUS param.sfo. So it will really depend on the eboot. Since the Duplex DLC pkg will create a BLES folder only. And if the game would install game data, you would be able to identify exactly what game ID it gave the the game data.

Oh! I forgot! You can also just run the game without the DLC, play the game, make a game save, then check in multiMAN's file manager in your game saves to see what game ID it gave it? Either the BLES or BLUS version??? Try that before doing what I suggest below!!

If the eboot doesn't point to the BLES and will accept BLUS game data, then you can extract the Duplex DLC pkg in your PC. I can then make you a dummy pkg so you can create automatically the BLUS game data folder, this way your PS3 will show that you have installed game data for this game. And then FTP over all the files inside the DLC extraction to your PS3's game data folder the dummy pkg created. This dummy pkg will include the BLUS game ID and the param.sfo file within as well as the ICON0.PNG file--that's usually all what's needed to create a game data folder in your game with a pkg. It's require to install it as a pkg so your PS2's database knows it has such file in it's system so it shows in the Game Data Utility in the XMB.

The reason why I suggest for the dummy pkg, is because the DLC pkg is about over 200 MBs to rebuild, so if you know how to do this, you can do it yourself. Just edit the param.sfo file to the BLUS ID version before making the PKG. I would do it for you, but it's such a large file to upload to a free file server--this is why I prefer creating the dummy pkg for you and then you can just FTP the extract files from the DLC pkg.

Then when you run the game (once you have installed the dummy pkg and FTP'd the DLC files to it), and go online, you will need to check if you can play Nuketown online. If it works, then you win. If it doesn't. Then I think it may be because the eboot points to the BLES folder and is looking for DLC in that folder instead. So then you can go ahead and just install the DLC pkg to your PS3 straight (you can delete the trial version we created from the XMB). If you find this to be true, then I'd recommend to also use the param.sfo file from the duplex patched files.. since that one is also a BLES version.

I hope I didn't lose you with the explanation. Like I said, it can be tricky, but I think it will be doable depending on the patched eboot's behavior. FYI, the DLC doesn't have an EBOOT.BIN file inside the PKG.

    Jay-Jay; re-read my post. thnx

OK, so it's only for online use. n/m then. I'll just skip that. I'd rather not get banned for the online play and just keep online play legit.

BTW, BLUS31011 It's on the side of the BD Box

    §imple PS3 Updates:
    Code:
Call of Duty® - Black Ops II (BLUS31011)
    [Pkg Ver] [ Sys Ver ] [ Size ] [ Sha1 ] [ Link ]
    [ 01.02 ] [ 04.2000 ] [ 55.81 MB (58524544 bytes) ] [ 695a7684b3e1a63a60db9beb5d1b4b241c8ea4c2 ] [ LINK: NO NO ]
Jay-Jay; I'll mess with it later. Right now I'm strapped to Dust514 and today was the refresh of SP(Skill Points). Gotta get my gear up or I die like a newbie

I am not 100% sure if it's only playable online. I got my info from COD: Black OPs 2 official site or wiki that it talked about the Nuketown 2025 DLC--that was playable online. I don't know whether it has a campaign mode or you can play locally?

I also never play online with my PS3--don't want to take the chance of getting into trouble or something.

Also read my text in bold in my previous post. I'd like to learn what game save ID game it creates when you run the game with the patched eboot files. -- I added that perhaps while you were replying to me.. so I hope you don't miss that part.

I don't know if that will make a big difference or not. And I don't know how you could change the game ID for that file. I think it may not mean anything. I am sure Duplex created their own pkg ID--since it says Duplex on it.
