Call of Duty Black Ops CFW 3.55 trouble?
Call of Duty Black Ops CFW 3.55 trouble? –
Hi first time poster and I did a quick search and couldn't find exactly what I having problems with.
Ok I have cfw 3.55 wutangrza and using gai manager and have my call of duty black ops backup (BLUS-30591) I used ftp to transfer it over to my internal hard drive and put it in under /dev_hdd0/game and I'm having trouble with it.
Also when it comes to it how do I patch it to 1.06 or is that not needed or is impossible? I get online using the ****psn-v0.4 app btw.
Help is greatly appreciated and I know how annoying it is for newbies to come and ask something that may be here somewhere but I searched and all I find is info on 3.41 users and stuff and after a couple of hours I had to ask.
its a pkg you need to install it by putting on usb drive and then install it under xmb via Install Package.
and also make sure you have the original EBOOT of the game .
Thanks so its just a simple install pkg hmm... ok so for my other problem I can't see the black ops game at all in my gaia manager at all. I see the game disc I have in the list but not my black ops backup.

Also with the 1.06 install pkg it will do it right without me doing anything or I have to modify something so it can install where it should?

When you first install the manager it should've asked you a few questions concerning where you want it to look for the games. when i installed it it asked me if i want it to look in some BLESXXXXX folder (i said no), then it asked me if i want it to look in the GAMES folder (I said yes). If you had said no for that second question, im guessing it would've asked if you want it to look in the GAMEZ folder.
I think you should try renaming the your GAME folder to either GAMES or GAMEZ.
After messing around a bit I said screw it and downloaded the multiman app since I see a lot of you are using it and used that and finally saw my black ops backup. Now bigger problem is that after I press x on the game in multiman and it takes me to the xmb and I see my disc as Black ops (thats what it should be doing) I click on that but it goes black and then I'm back on the xmb.

All I did was install the 1.06 pkg update before I tried to play the game first.
do you have the original eboot .because if you played on 3.41 jb thats mean you have modified Eboot and for 3.55cfw you need an original eboot.

If you've done the above, try pressing SELECT + X when you try to load the game. If that doesn't work maybe try to use the SELECT + X method of loading the game while the game is on a external USB harddrive.
hey guys figured what was wrong and thanks for the help.
Here is what I did I first put the game in GAMES folder under /dev_hdd0/GAMES instead of game. Also I used multiman 1.16.03 to play the backup and press select+x and said no to launch mode and it takes me to the dashboard and the game inside the drive is now seen as the backup game I clicked on in multiman.
Now two things I was getting problems I didnt see or read anywhere about needing to download the BDEMU pkg file and install it in the install package folder in the ps3. After I did that the backups were working so thanks. I think it needs to be said more about this because I didn't see this.
Second thing was I figured out why I was freezing when I got out of multiman to go to dashboard and play the backup. Before I went into multiman I was always opening the lv2 program since I thought I still had to do that to play backups. Now that multiman works without needing to do that I guess it was doing it twice and it caused the freeze problem. So I don't open up lv2 program anymore and just go straight into multiman program.
Hope anyone reads this and not go to the same problem I went through.
Or, you could have just read the first post in MultiMan thread. It goes over the need to install the bdemu.pkg file, that you don't need lv2 patcher anymore, and that select + x only works off the external. But, you know, reading is so over rated these days.
