I'm new, this is my first post and my second game running backed up on my ps3. Alright I think i found a great patch for the game and I'm not taking any credit other than actually figuring out how to get my US version running under the EU folder which is the folder the pkg makes (/dev_hdd0/game/BLES01013/*.*)

I think you should probably backup your game saves, and delete all of your current black ops files if there are any under /dev_hdd0/game/BLES01031/ folder. This is just to be safe though IDK if you actually must.

What you'll want to do is extract this rar file, and then install the supplied pkg with it onto your ps3 prior to anything else on a fat32 ext HD or usb drive. After this, You'll need a rip of your USA (BLUS30591) game, and you'll have to copy over the entire USRDIR folder from your US game (you can probably use comgenie or multiman if you need too) even the eboot it doesn't matter just overwrite the files.

After copying over your entire US game files from the USRDIR of the game either from the disc with a file manager or FTP (i recommend winSCP works great on my win7) you'll want to copy over all of the supplied files from this patch into the actual game directory for the eu GAME (/dev_hdd0/game/BLES01031/*.*) if and when asked, you'll want to merge the folders and overwrite existing files. I have the US game files working under the EU game folder, without having to download the 20 gbs or so of the EU game. Thanks to all who made this patch possible I did not do any real work other than being crafty with the files if that at all. I hope everyone can get their games going and if the link dies I'll re-up since I have a copy.

can you install update v1.05 and play online?

well I am not sure with the way I have done it, the game's information menu on the XMB says 1.05 and I cannot get online because I do not have internet access in my home. I believe the readme with the patch says not to update (my version says I'm already at 1.05 but this may be edited into the param.sfo I think. I'm thankful that it plays but currently im having the issue if i press the PS button and leave the game to the xmb, the entire game will go into the game save utility folder. and I can't execute it again until i uninstall, ftp and then patch again. I'm trying to figure out which file is doing it since the original patch is not my work. Is this game working a common thing? I checked a couple days ago and couldn't find anything on it working for this version 30591.

the param.sfo is listed as GD (GAME DATA) whenever the game executes it puts it in the data utility. I'm not very experienced with this stuff yet any help is appreciated if i find a fix i will let you all know. thanks for reading.

I have BLES01031 and i did install it like i allways do with rogero and then i did update when prompted to 1.05 and now i have been playing online all night :==)

I have a question about BLES01031

In my folder it is named BLES-0131 with the -

Should it be there on the external or should I have it as BLES01031, will it matter?
