any idea why whenever i try to run black ops i get a corrupted package error?
It works now. I've downloaded this pack and replaced the files, the game now boots! But multiplayer doesn't work, i get a black screen.Maybe the servers block access if the version is not up to date..
I dont know what is replaced in the files, but i guess just the param.sfo is updated to 1.05 and the gametype is not DG or HG, but GD. I guess this stands for game data.
Black Ops BLES01031 FIX
Hah, found the missing install after the package install, its now under Game Data. Let me play a bit more.
Yeah, you have to rename the folder and re-install the package and then copy the files back to it every time you exit to XMB..
I guess it's just impossible to play online at the moment. We need the ability to decrypt the 1.05 eboot, but geohot is not planning to release the npdlr keys..![]()
Guys I haven't botherd messing with Black Ops yet (Since the fix doesn't allow for online play).
But if a fix is found for Online play if someone would be kind enough to make a detailed guide as to how to get it up and running that would be great
Because a guide like "Take this and move it here then rename random file and move it there" isn't really going to cut it![]()
Ok, i know what the issue is, also what the solution is:-
1. The folder hdd0/games/BLES01031 is used to install patches for the game on in this instance.
2. By installing the patch, the NFO now say this is a game data folder instead of a game
We are only able to play immediately after the process since the PS3 still havent refreshed the state from package to be seen as game data.
I have tried to modify the PARAM.SFO to say game instead of game data, but then the game dont start.
So how do we fix this?
The only way will be to have access to an unencrypted EBOOT.BIN, and install the game to a different location, ie hdd0/G/BO or something like that, and the games folder purely for the updates info. Repackage and install.
So back to my original question, anybody know how to unself an NPDRM EBOOT.BIN file?
