Black ops Tut –
OKay so im starting this thread with as much as i know and people can help add on as they see fit
1st INSTALL PACKAGE
2ND copy black ops files under PS3_GAME to hdd0/BLES_001031
3RD launch game ask's for update press o and get game data is currupted ....
if you have any steps than can help please post and i will update the tut but we have to start somewhere
PS3 FAT 40gb rocking the 3.41 upgraded hard drive to 550 gb
no "fix" works right now, i've tried myself with modifying the eboot.bin, t5_ps3f.self, and t5mp_ps3f.self and it still doesn't work..probably will have to wait until the syscalls are implemented
I'll bet the problem is that the game recognizes the update but the update is looking for the game on the disc instead of the hdd. We'll have to figure out a way to open the update and change the path to connect to the games info in the hdd...
Well I manage to get the game running just fine, the problem is, the EBOOT and Param.SFO where made without the patch. I can't play MP as of yet but I can run SP and Zombies!! Another problem was the pkg file dissapears after running the game kinda annoying!!! In other words you have to do this each time...
What I did was let it update, went into multiMan, moved the BLUS Folder containing the whole game into a folder I created on the HDD(Select + O to move files btw)
Reinstalled the PKG, went back to multiMan deleted the BLUS folder it installed in the hdd(game folder, make sure 2 backup the EBOOT it came with though)
Then moved the updated BLUS Folder back into the original game folder on the harddrive and replaced the EBOOT with the one that came with the PKG and WALLA, just hit circle when it ask to update and it should run!
I'll make a video when I wake up been trying to get it running for 3Hrs LOL. Hopefully this helps people who can understand my mess of instructions, tired and PS3 browser sucks.
GOT IT WORKING!
GOT IT WORKING! –
Thanks for this info buddy. I have spent hours trying various methods.
Now, the EBOOT.BIN is NPDRM i think, since it cant be unselfed. I dont know how we will fix the phantom package issue. Everytime you quit you need to move folders around again, and reinstall the package.

I don't get it, what is wrong with the eboot.bin from the package? So once installing the update, and replacing the eboot.bin with the one from the package, it suddenly works..?
And what about no multiplayer, is there some modification needed for t5mp_ps3f.self to make it work?
The Eboot.bin/param.sfo where created without the patch in mind. If you take a look at the Param.SFO by hitting R3 on top of it in multiman you will blantley see in the file says 1.00 under version. My guess would be too redo the Param.SFO making it say 1.05 and take the updated eboot and change value BG to HG if i'm not mistaken.
Not sure why this work, but it does. I will look into why the package takes a hike after gameplay. The files still exist on the hdd though.

I thinking the EBOOT may not be to blame. Would someone care to take the Param.SFO from the PKG and edit it where it says VERSION 1.00 to 1.05
