    Hi,

As the title says, the BD-ROM icon disappeared from the XMB-menu after installing Multiman: Last Game.
I first thought that it was supposed to be like soI tried to run a game I played earlier but didn't work out.
So I removed the "Last Game Played" application an now I've no disc-icon at all.

    I have Kmeaw 3.55 with Multiman 2.01
Tried to reinstall everything, even formated the harddrive.
Tried to insert a normal dvd and cd but no disc shows up at all.

One thing I've noticed thoe is that Multiman won't set the BD-emulator in the settings.
It says: "Selected option not available, ERROR: Incorrect BDEMU version!"
I've downloaded the one at PS3-Hacks :: Hack your PlayStation 3

I've heard about some got the BD-reader broke but it can't be that it broke at the exact same time as I installed the Last game thing.

    thanks in advance!

the fact that you cannot see the Disk Icon, is very weird. Anyway Try this file : BDEMU2.rar, its for multiman version 2.00++. Install it and restart your ps3.
    Good Luck.

    Thx, for the advice.
Helped me in Multiman but unfortunately did'nt help me to play a game.
I've think I've noticed something thoe.
If I turn the "Disc Auto-start" [on], it won't start. Even the green little light next to the USB's is black.

The thing is I bought it from my job last day. It's the fat 40gb model but I replaced it with a 500gb HDD.
I think I can get a new one at monday, but is there anyway I can restore the machine so it won't be recognized jailbreaked?

Installing the OFW 3.55 and inserting the 40gb HDD should do it?

go into recovery mode and start from the to and work your way down.. i have seen the icon come back for people just doing that.... like the rebuild database and file structure ones should get you goin if its software.. if its a laser tho it could just be coincidence it went out at that time... but def. try the recovery options 1st..good luck
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm
