backups with no disc?

hi

blu ray laser died again so wanted to run my backups already installed with no disc.

running rebug and newest multiman and bdemu2 but nothing boots. am i missing something needed to run those that will run without a live drive?

check here if it is compatable

PS3 Backup Compatibility List - PSHomebrew (this is for kmeaw but i think rebug is just a modified kmeaw anyway so this list should be compatable for u)

u get a blackscreen when u run from app home/ps3??

all my back ups, have about 30. i have viewed the list and some of my games on on it as working.

what is does is i select the game i want and press x to run. multiman then closes and in the top right it says boot failed no game image or something. then goes back to XMB with usual options. do i need to get fix permissions patch and run that or level 2 patcher?
