Like the title of the thread asks, is it possible/would it be possible? Is anyone working on one now, or is the only way to play back-ups the current method of transferring the files to the PS3 hard drive and installing a .PKG?

Been asked, been answered. You didn't take enough time to search the forum since you obviously only look for ways to play backup.
Currently it's possible to use a BM to rip games but not hook them to boot so the .pkg direct boot work around is the solution. Dean is working on his own BM's method, and Flukes1 is working to patch lv1 to allow peek/poke.
It's fine to be a cheapskate pirate, your choice. Now go wait like everyone else plz.
I didn't say anything about pirating, moron. I go from college to home every few weeks and I don't want to lug around my game collection, which is why I asked about a Backup-Manager.
But thanks for assuming, jackass.
Now wank off like a troll should, plz.
lolz, flame
heh if I was a troll I'd already called you a douche@ss mofo for asking about BM with so few posts, and I wouldn't even bother to answer your questions.
But I'll give you point for knowing that I assumed you to be so and so.
