Backup Manager and FTP Server Black Screen Help

Hi i installed these Backup Manager 1 and 2 and FTP Server and when i click to play all i get is a black screen and the console will lock.

I am using the ipod mini 1g with hermes

I have a PS3 40gb with a broken blu ray drive.

I have tried changing my resolution from 1080p to 720p to see if that helps but it doesnt.

Can Someone Help Please?

Danyl (sp?) working on porting the hermes code to work on ipod's just posted a .patch file for it last night. I was about to check if that was updated just now, but as of last night before that you cannot run the hermes jailbreak it doesnt work. You also need a game in the drive to boot a game. I also have a ps3 with broken bluray and 2g ipod mini. Did the jailbreak last night and installed BM v1, ftp and snes9x but cannot play a game yet. Waiting for the update to the JB w/ hermes. Watch his thread for updates.

Are you able to use FTP and BMv1?

Do you get a black screen like me?

i havent tried snes9x yet, but will try that shortly and get back.

Heyy,

I jailbroke my PS3 last night using my Ipod 4g GrayScale and managed to install Backup manager 1 fine, using the file from the official jailbreak website. I have been successful is backing games and running them.

I also installed the latest FTP that was posted on the front page of this website, but got a black screen after about 1 minute and it locked my PS3 up so i had to manually reboot. I deleted it and downloaded this FTP instead, and it works great!

Just tried snes9x and i get a black screen with that.

Can someone help i keep getting a black screen when i try to play backup manager, snes9x and FTP?

I have exactly the same issue. PS3 40Gb with faulty blu ray but all homebrew seems to go to black screen? :-( any ideas anyone??? Please???!!!

Hi all, is there anyone who has news to launche backupmanager 2.1 or openmanager 2.1i.2 or other with ps3 jailborken and with broken bluray drive?

i still have black screen when i launch those software.

Ya Im having the same problem, no blue ray, black screen when trying to launch Gaia, FTP, anything. Are there any work arounds to this? OR just replace the whole drive?

if theres no power going to the bluray drive or the ribbon attatching to the ps3 is broke, meaning the drive is not seen by the ps3 you will always black screen

the ps3 does a check to confirm the bluray is present when launching any app or game there is no fix for this!
