Backup Games internal external - Few questions!
Backup Games internal external - Few questions! –

Hi,
so last weekend I finally flashed my ps3 slim to kmeaw. Now I have a short questions about backing up games.
1.
When I want to backup a game I can choose in MM internal or external when plugin an usb hd. But does MM tell me when I can't put the game on external cause there are files that are bigger than 4 GB?
2.
Can I put games, that are on internal hd to external with MM. Even if they have files bigger than 4 GB (does MM split them then).
3.
When got a game on my pc, which some files aber bigger than 4 GB, which programm I have to use to split them? Can I play this game then from external hd or do I have to put the game on internal and MM join the splitted files?
4.
Having a game only on my PC, do I have to have a special folder on my external hd where I have to put the game? I just don't have a good lan to send the files to my ps3 (I even don't really know how to do this, I have ftp access to my ps3, but don't know if I must copy the games or tell MM to install from my pc).
I know I propably could find these informations in many threads, but I think these question are covering a big spectrum of using hds!

1-you need to split them and then move it to Internal HDD
2- if not then grap any Split App
3- yeah split then put it on ext.hdd and then join the files again via MM
4-Ext.HDD must be formatted to FAT32 and create a folder name it GAMEZ and put your games on that folder

1- yes, but you have to check files before wasting time and then finding out that you have big files, there is a button for MM to check the disc for such files.
2- yes thats correct, but it wont play them if they are split using MM. splitting them via psarc and other splitting program will tho.
3- Is called file splitter psarc or something like that, only some games work with this method, and it is for external, otherwise...why split them.
4- Folder name can be either: GAMEZ or GAMES, hdd has to be fat32 and you have to use an ftp program in your pc while having your ps3 ftp program running, then connect from your pc to the ps3 like that, or you can just take your external hdd and plug it in your pc and drag and drop to said folders.
hope this answers your questions

So playing splitted games from external is not possible?
Can I copy than the game from my external to internal?

yes it is, some games only, and only if you split them yourself with psarc file splitter, via MM you cannot.

So final:
1. Can I copy games from internal to external and from external to internal or have to use ftp? When it works without ftp, how to do this with MM?
