Backing up a game options ***HELP***
Backing up a game options ***HELP*** –

Hey just wondering what options I have as far as backing up a game to the PS3. I've rented and backed up that way which seems to be the fastest. Using Ftp takes forever like 6 hrs?? Is that normal? How can you backup using a USB drive? I heard that may be faster than transferring via Ftp? My USB drive is 2gb the games are alot bigger than that? Please advise. I would really appreciate it. Thanks. Running CFW Kmeaw 3.55--> Multiman 1.15.00. Thanks.

Use Active mode instead of PASV mode, set threads to 1, and always use a wired connection. The only other way to transfer games from your PC is to get an external HDD.

Games with files over 4gb can be transferred by external drive but can not be run directly by the way... You need to split the files and put them on your hard drive in two pieces. There are not too many of these games though at the moment... Then multiman can join them back together.
Drag and drop to a FAT32 external drive. is best I`d say. Like I say, a few games have to be copied to the internal drive before they will play (split file games)
Faster than FTP but more messing about and you need a decent sized mem stick (32GB) I`d say or a cheap external drive.
2gb ain`t nearly big enough

Thanks for the info! Can you explain a little further on how to adjust the settings with FlashFXP to match these settings. Sorry new to FlashFXP. I've always used WinSCP but I like Flash better. Thanks!
