I'm running Kmeaw's 3.55 CFW and I've tried backing up both "MLB 11: The Show" and "Call of Duty: Black Ops" with both multiMAN and Rogero but all I get is a black screen when loading either of them from the ps3's internal hard drive.

I've done some searching and found out that with MLB 11 I need to change and the Param.sfo file to indicate that FW 3.55 is required instead of 3.56. I've done this but I still have the problem. Any thoughts?

have you tryed with a disc inside and running from the bluray icon?
for blackops is a must do, the other i don't know
also if they still hangs you have to download a program called fixpermissions.pkg, and run it once
then try again with the games
    Another third world slave here

I believe multiMAN had this option built-in. I'll download and try this pkg anyways and let you know the results.

Thanks ironhide666. I don't know if it was the fix permission pkg or what.

But I just noticed the MLB 11 Bluray Icon in the list after selecting the game from the Backup Manager. Maybe I just wasn't observant enough.

It's asking to update the game before I play, will the game still work with the latest update? I'm assuming it would work since MLB was a direct copy from the Bluray game disc?

If it does not work after the latest update, just do the GAME DATA UTILITY from the XMB, and delete the GAME DATA.

I deleted the Game Data for MLB 11 The Show since it still got to the loading screen and didn't do anything. Now it shows the PS Move Warning screen about having plenty of room and goes back to the XMB and doesn't load the game at all.

    Ugh.

According to this website, Kmeaw Working PS3 Game List, you need to have MLB 11: The Show on your internal drive, and you need modified files.

To make your files, visit this thread, EBOOT.bin repository - PSX-SCENE: The "Other" Playstation Network ,and follow the instuctions on how to use the ebootFIX program. Then replace the files. Be sure to keep your original files somewhere in case you need them.

Thanks, I saw that list and didn't see the Games 3.56 tab at the bottom.

Should I update the game to the latest version (1.16) an then FTP back to my PC and run the Eboot Fix?
