Back up too big for external hard drive?
Back up too big for external hard drive? –
I'm a completely newbie so please bear with me. I have a PS3 with Rogero CFW v4.30 and installed Multiman v4.10.00. I have made a back up of Assassin's Creed 3 on my PC and tried to transfer it to my external drive but as my external drive is Fat32 the back up is too big to fit on the drive not due to lack of space but the Fat32 limitation. I have look everywhere but I can't find any sort of splitter to use, could someone suguest a good one?
Also does anyone know if this game will run from the external Hard drive or will I have to transfer it to the internal hard drive?
Regarding your post, i have also made an backup of assassins creed 3 and transferred it to my 2tb external hdd without any problems, if you still have the disk at hand i would suggest to just straight rip it to external via ps3 copy to USB000, would be the best option or find another external hdd and test if the problem still occurs also AC3 is not a split game, hence you should not need to split it but if you would still like to try it there is an application which allows you to split and merge large ps3 games it is called PS3 Splitter or PS3 Merge, try an Google search i am sure you will find it.

TBH I didn't try to move it to the external Hard drive I just asumed it wouldn't fit as the backup is bigger than 4GB.
Please delete this, i'm an idiot.
Assassin's creed 3 works fine.
