replace files and try
also try this with debug update eboot.bin
Get beta 2 version. Btw you can't extract retail pkg files since they are encrypted.
Download xorlosers Selftool:
http://xorloser.com/blog/wp-content/...lftool_v10.rar
Find the EBOOT.BIN file you've just extracted.
Do:
Selftool.exe -o EBOOT2.BIN -c0 EBOOT.BIN
(this step is only required on compressed self files, most seem to be uncompressed, you can do selftool.exe -pa EBOOT.BIN to check)
Now you need two command line apps from the ps3 sdk. So I'm going to assume your an official Sony developer unfself.exe and make.fself.exe.
Do:
unfself.exe EBOOT2.BIN EBOOT3.BIN
make_fself.exe EBOOT3.BIN EBOOT4.BIN
PUT EBOOT4.BIN on a usb stick and rename back to EBOOT.BIN
This could be one of the hardest games to fix, but you've got to remember the last game ubis (the developer) released POP:SOT had the same problem and isn't still fixed yet
I just tried retail update, replaced the update's eboot.bin with a modified debug update eboot.bin. Made the .sfos 3.40 (the one on the game files was 3.50 and the one for the retail update was 3.30). Game booted, but just stayed black. Had to turn off PS3 via the power button.
Well AC2 works with jailbreak. But then again the first AC doesn't.
Exactly, its when all the people focus together. Gt5 will bring that focus like no other if sony tries to make it hard.
In many ways it is self defeating for sony to place restrictions, as it will make the hackers more determined, as we have seen in past especially in pc hacking.
Gt5 is bound to bring alot of attention from hackers if there are problems in the game for jb ps3's.
Like it was said before, maybe the current backup managers can't properly backup the game since it's 3.50.
