i have the same problem , i didnt quite get how you managed to get sound on 4,30 games , please pm . i cant hear any sound from games like assasins creed 3 , re6 or nfmw . please let me pm me

Same problem here, I get no sounds whatsoever when I start the game.
I've tried reinstalling the game on the disc, and also a total format+factory reset on my PS3.
Tried toggling the xmb sound settings back and forth, without luck. Currently running v4.31, using sound via optical cable.
I get sound when using my PS3, just not when running AC3.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
I think your issue is the optical cable. Try using a different audio source (i.e HDMI or RCA).
No, you misunderstand, I do get sound through the cable, like when you're viewing your inserted disc in xmb, and music plays. I also get sound when streaming video files from my workstation.
It's only after I've started up the game that all sounds disappear.
Try changing that for just this game. :)Quote:
