Anyone try Azergaz's backup manager that boots games right from the app?

The folks over at logic sunrise have released a version of BM that further enhances the hermes patch. Apparently it launches the games right from Backup Manager, doesn't even take you back to XMB.

Anyone try it out? I have to wait till i get home...

I tried it but it didnt work at all for me.. 3d dot game heroes made my screen flicker black and yellow and a few of my other games just pushed me back to xmb.

I just tried it and it loads many games fine, much much better then the BM v2 released earlier, I'm using it right now and doing more testings

the page is french, but it's not hard to get what you want.

It will load the game same as the BM v2, but will try to load it directly, if you got black screen or corrupted graphics on some games, just press the 'PS" button and to to the app_home\PS3_GAME and load your game from there.

off course this should be used with the Hermes Payload version of Psgroove.

N.B: for game that have problem loading, you can always insert a Disc and load it the old normal way from the XMB with no problem.

I think this BM from Azergaz combined with the Hermes Payload psgroove is the best combination to use till today.

Another strange note is: I tried, just for testing purposes, to use this Azergaz BM with the old psgroove v1.1 and it can load many games directly without any disc in the PS3, i tried this last night and i was so surprised to see some games works fine.

I'll flash back my old psgroove 1.1 hex now and do some more testing with this Azergaz BM.

I just tried some games with Azergaz BM + Psgroove1.1 + No Disc in the drive

1- Demon's souls = loaded and failed on Trophies registration

2- Way of the Samurai 3 = loaded and failed on Trophies registration

3- Ridge Racer 7 = loaded and played fine

4- Lair = loaded and played fine

5- Heavy Rain = Black Screen

6- Mafia2 = loaded and failed on Trophies registration

7- Soldier of fortune Payback = loaded and played fine

8- God of War Collection = Black screen

9- God of War 3 = Returned to XMB

10- Haze = Black/Yellow screen

11- PES2010 = Black screen

Tried the same games listed above with Azergaz BM + Hermes Payload/Psgroove + No Disc in the drive

Most of them now runs fine, no trophies problem.

Except "Heavy Rain" it will only works when loaded from the Original Disc Icon on XMB and with original game disc inserted,and this cannot be done with this Avergaz BM, I needed to use BM v1 or BM v2 to be able to load "Heavy Rain"

Conclusion:

We must find a way to install all versions of Backup Managers ( which are in fact game loaders ) so we can use the one we need depending on the game desired without the need to reinstall different BM version each time over the same package.

Any hints guys about this, this is a must now.

well if you go over to ps3hax.net and use the stealth BM it will not ask you to replace the current one installed. If we can do this with these new BM and label them accordingly we shoukd be good to go. I'm with using the first patched BM that works on the hermas payload and it has worked fine for me.

If the stealth BM don't replace the original BM then this can be done for sure.

As for the BM u're using,the patched version referred to as BM v2 it will work for you but will not load the game directly,it returns to XMB where you have to load the game from the app_home\PS3_GAME\.
The Azergaz BM ( BM v3) will load the game directly without returning to XMB which is cool.
