I hear ya on it not working in REBUG. I killed my HD today trying to fix Uncharted 2. Still not sure what was the exact reason. I accidentally forgot to put it back into normal mode before trying a file system restore which means it was still 3.60 spoofing when I tried it. Doh!!! I then got stuck in a corrupt data loop, and tried everything one could do to get it working again. Only other thing I can think is that it was already corrupt and doing the file system restore made it see that it was...
All was a no go. Wiped the f@$ker clean. Works now minus all my games and saves. Oh well. Installed kmeaw with iris manger and multiman, should be good for a while. I think REBUG is still an awesome firmware with A LOT of potential but I think some more testing may need to be done with it.
EDIT: Team REBUG tested "file system restore" in REBUG mode and that did not cause the same problem I had so it was not REBUG CFW that destroyed my HDD. I must of just had a corrupt hard drive to begin with then running that made it identify the corrupt HD.
If anybody does find out the solution to making this game run in REBUG, I would be very curious to know. As this was the beginning of my downfall, trying to fix this game...Lost me all my games and all my saves...all i know is I am NEVER ****ing with anything besides re-installing firmware in recovery mode unless I absolutely have to. Next time I have a game issue I will just try a different CFW...F#$k "restore file system"....how bout name it destroy my hard drive and put it in a corrupt data loop...sounds more fitting for what happened when i used it

As far as I know, my ps3 has never had an undetected error.
