Another Black Screen Thread.. Killzone 2

Hi,

Sorry for another noob topic. I have tried searching on a couple of forums for a solution so hopefully somebody can help me out.

Running 3.55 Kmeaw with Multiman. Trying to get Killzone 2 to run but keep getting black screen after selecting from XMB.

I have tried running both from internal and external, as well as the Select+X method.

What else can I try?
Do I want to try and find an eboot fix, get that and replace the existing eboot file I already have?

what version of multiMAN do you use ? i have completed the game via 3.41 JB but never tried on 3.55 and also if you have played this game before you can try to uninstall Game Data and install it again .

Do you have a disc in the drive?

Also try running permissions fix.

I am on Multiman 01.17.02

I haven't played Killzone 2 before, so no previous data.

Yup, have got a disc in the drive. Tried running the permission fix, thanks for that, but no joy.

Don't know what else to try :\

Can you exit the black screen or your ps3 freezes?

Also try ripping the game again. Many people have solved this with re-ripping it..

Thanks Sid -- just to confirm what I'm doing here (still learning the ropes)

Stick that on the root of a USB and install file from XMB?

EDIT:
I tried installingn it via XMB package install, however it hasn't changed anything. Tried loading it through Multiman with Select+X and still just freezes up on me.

I am downloading a different copy of the game, hopefully that will fix it.

Also, out of curosity, where did you find the pkg file?

Piracy isnt appreciated here mate, be careful..

And after installing the pkg from install packages you have to move the files in USRDIR of the game file except the eboot and param.sfo to dev_hdd0/game/<your game id>/PS3_GAME/USRDIR(on your internal). And lauch the game from xmb not from multiman..
