Hi guys. Just ripped this game from the disc but im getting no sound at all when playing it. It installed to the hard-drive fine, it boots up fine too but after the first dialogue there is no sound whatsoever.
How would I go about fixing this? Thanks.

Yeah I got the same issue. I at first thought it was part of the game because almost immediately there's a trophy called Technical Difficulties. But what I believed was irony turns out to be a problem. There is a solution posted involving editing the param.sfo, installing a game update and then praying a whole lot.

Hmmm....somebody had a problem with AC:B also, and the fix was to create a folder ASSASSIN_ISO in USRDIR folder.
But I'm not sure if it was a sound problem or black screen fix

Yeah the empty ASSASSIN_ISO folder is in USRDIR. The game installs fine. It will take the update .pkg, and it will load with or without a disc. And there is audio up until the very first playable scene of the game. Then no sound whatsoever. You can play it, save it, but when you load the save, still nothing. It also dumps an "unsupported data" folder to the XMB.

From what I remember, AC:B first needs the update pkg, then it must be run with a disc in the BR drive. After it loads, It will then install the hdd files and then should work properly.
I made the mistake of not running it with a disc in the drive the first time and the sound completely cut out after the intro. The game then hard crashed and the PS3 wouldn't stay in XMB longer than a few seconds without crashing. I had to rebuild the system files in the recovery menu to fix it.
So yeah, run with a disc!
