about permissions fix

does it work for externals? because everytime i run it i only see activity on internal....also with new gaia it prompts you to fix permissions...it does for my internal games and then they work great....doesnt ask for external games, and they dont work....im putting the 3 games on internal now that wouldnt work on external...so i guess my theory will be tested in a cpl....just wondering if anyone had any insight...

ok so far gow 3, gt5, drakes, me2, and something else i cant remember and cant check cause in middle of something all worked perfect from internal with gaia doing the permissions fix...after which they boot from multiman perfect too...but still no luck with same games on external...i dont think the permissions thing effects them...although im thinking if i do permissions fix on them while on internal then reup them to external instead...they may work having had the permissions fix already implemented....ill get back in a bit with the results...

See I was wondering myself, I guess we need a better understanding of what the fix permissions is actually doing. I installed a new game to an internal drive, ran it, but I forgot to do the fix permissions and of course it didn't run. But then it got me curious as to my external games so I ran one and it ran no problem.

I'm fairly confident you are right in that it won't work on external drives. It is only searching the internal. I It's hard to say what will happen if you bring them to internal, fix, and then transfer out. Hopefully the transfer doesn't mess with permissions.

You can try the new Multiman, I think it has something like independent game permission fixes.

Ok ... i was having issues with my external drive itself not the programming or software so i tried installing ME2 internally with gaia 2.04.... works with disc ... figured out what was up with hardware copied from internal to external with gaia 2.04... works with disc... no fix permissions installed or asked for ... unless they did them automatically .??? Still a little glitchy but as long as you use autosave you should be safe....

never had a problem with external, location of most my game, FixPerrmissions always seemed to find
