Has anyone got these working on external FAT32 Hdd Using split Files to work on external??

I suppose you have to use the PSARC method for files with psarc. other files to be split with split4g and trasnferred to internal.

sp psarc split method works on all psarc files for external play? and split4g works for games with other file extensions??

Yeah. But the difference is with psarc method you can play games from external.. but the with other method you need to transfer your game to internal via multiman which then joins the split files..

Just a quick clarification here; if you use Split4G then you CANNOT play the game properly from external or any drive. The PSARC method works since it's simply extracting the archive into its correct folder, but actually splitting the file will cause issues with the game. The game may load, but it cannot read the files after the split. IE;

RR7.DAT will become; RR7.DAT and then; RR7.DAT.66601 incremental for the split files. The game will read the first bit of data from RR7.DAT, then fail when it can't find the rest.

I'm pretty sure these games can be played from external using Iris managers big file cache method

Aye, that's different as Iris/Hermes "cache" the larger files onto internal drive first. It's a great feature and I'm desperately hoping Dean can incorporate it into MM at some point.
