You can even downgrade now so your post is pretty moot, unless you got all excited for accessing PSN and now your backups don't work.
Kmeaw's cfw works just dandy for most everyone that uses it. I have a 2+ year old fat PS3 that is using it right now, and it works just fine. All my backups, *gasp*, boot as well.
If anything, staying on 3.55 will be good as there are so many updates every day. Missing out on all the releases for just 24 hours will make you behind, haha.
