Hi Guys,
Simple question...
Recently my old ps3 gave me the YLOD second time around running 3.55 Kameaw.
I have a new slimline ps3 original fw is 3.40 before i i upgrade it should i upgrade straight to cfw 3.55 kameaw or 3.41 obviously after updating from sonys original firmware 1st.?
is there any advantages staying on 3.41 or is 3.55 kameaw the way to go ??
I'd say Kmeaw. Supposedly 3.41 has better discless compatibility, but if your laser is fine that shouldn't be an issue.

3.41 requires more eboot tinkering.
yeah i used to be on 3.55 and it worked fine flawlessly on multiman, just was asking as im on 3.40 now and before i update to 3.55 to know as you cant downgrade from 3.55.

You can downgrade from 3.55. You're thinking of 3.56+
oh wow never knew u can downgrade from 3.55, so thats a bonus then going to 3.55 doesnt really matter then. Thanks for your replies guys,,
If it isn't broken don't fix it.
If you're already on 3.41 and have alot of your stuff on that firmware, you don't necessarily have to as they pretty much are on the same level. You do have to wait a bit longer for 3.41 fixes but thats it.
If you're starting fresh on a new console, there's no reason at all to go to 3.41 when 3.55 kmeaw is available.
True, but it won't be too long that 3.41 CFW fixes are out the door. We need the NPDRM keys badly. That will solve a lot of things in the future. There would be no need to worry about CFW and/or EBOOT fixes. ;)Quote:
