Thought I would write this up as its something i've been playing around with recently.
If your like me and prefer to see all your games in one place, namely multiman, then try this out.

Launch PSN Games from multiman like any other PS3 backup.

    1. Install your PSN package game like you normally would
    2. In multiman go into file manager and navigate to /dev_hdd0/game
    3. Find the corresponding game folder to the game you just installed eg. 'Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell HD' = NPEB00527
    4. Copy this folder to your USB game folder /dev_usb000/GAMES
    5. Now rename the copied folder to something meaningful eg./dev_usb000/GAMES/NPEB00527 becomes /dev_usb000/GAMES/[Splinter Cell HD]-NPEB00527
    6. Inside the [Splinter Cell HD]-NPEB00527 folder create a new folder called PS3_GAME eg. /dev_usb000/GAMES/[Splinter Cell HD]-NPEB00527/PS3_GAME
    7. Now move all files inside /dev_usb000/GAMES/[Splinter Cell HD]-NPEB00527/ into the PS3_GAME folder.
    8. Go back to your Game list and refresh it, the new game will appear
    9. Mount the game
    10. When kicked back to XMB start the game from App_home not the disc icon

    Notes:
-You don't always need to copy all files sometimes just creating the file structure and copying the eboot.bin and param.sfo is enough.
-I also think the reverse maybe true for some other games that don't work copying only eboot.bin eg. leave behind only eboot.bin param.sfo TROPDIR in the /dev_hdd0/game folder.
-Creating a shadow copy of the USRDIR may also work? edit:Nope

Please note i'm on TB CFW but i'm fairly sure it will work on any FW that hasn't had App_home removed from the XMB

    Tested:
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell HD -Working
Watchmen The End is Nigh Part 1 -Working
    Zombie Apocalypse -Working
Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection Online -Working copied eboot and param only
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD -Working copied eboot and param only
    Modern Combat Domination -Working
Marvel vs Capcom 2 -Working copied eboot and param only
God Of War Chains Of Olympus -Working
Matt Hazard Blood Bath & Beyond -Working
TMNT: Turtles in time Reshelled -Working
    Section 8 -Working
    Dungeon Hunter Alliance -Not Working
    Shank -Working
    Risk Factions -Working
From Dust -Not Working (due to TB or Cobra dongle, may work on regular CFW)
    Driver San Francisco -Working
    Novastrike -Working

Very cool. It's a shame we can't get all the games working in either the PSN XMB menu or in multiMAN. It's kind of annoying having 2 separate lists. On the games that aren't working, maybe the eboots would have to be decrypted and hex edited with the new path(s). That would probably be too much for the average user and all PSN eboots can't be decrypted as far as I know, but it could be something cool that somebody with more skills than I have to work on.

Also, I never use app_home to launch games, have you tried to edit the SFO on them or use multiMAN to rename them to something like "Zombie Apocalypse (PSN)" or "Section 8 (app_home)? That would take the confusion out of it for a lot of users I think

Useful information. But I wonder, if you directly copy games to internal GAMES folder and restore file system in recovery menu, will they work without a problem?

I wondered that myself, if you delete the game from XMB then copy the files back to dev_hddo/game then they wont show up on the XMB but should still work from multiman.

Ive tried changing the sfo for some of the games to BD to launch with disc icon, can't remember if it worked or not now though hmmm lots of possibilities though will be interesting playing around with them.

I also tried using a shadow copy to internal hdd GAMES directory but doesnt seem to work.

Editing the param.sfo to from HG to DG the disc icon shows up but attempting to start game from disc icon = error 80010009

Doesn't work editing the .sfo so far, i'd like to be proved wrong. And it's up to the individual users whether they want to rename them with a PSN prefix but the PSN games show up with a different type of icon in multiman anyway.

I thought maybe multiMAN would read the changed SFO. There's an index file in your home folder that prevents most modifcations to PSN style PARAM.SFO without either installing a new pkg, or editing the SFO, then triggering the PS3 to reindex the database file. It's doable that way, but too much of a pain in the ass. It was just a thought. Anyways, thanks for this. It's nice to see people looking at ways to improve what we've got

    Hello everyone,
i decided to install Rogero 4.30 after some suggestions.
    I installed multiman 04.17
now i tried to launch my first backup:
Tomb Raider Underworld, that i found in multi .pkg (tombraider-a.pkg, b.pkg, c.pkg)
I copied these 3 files from my usb (ntfs) to a temp directory in /dev_hdd0/
I run the 3 pkg and the ps3 installed it in the directory:
    /dev_hdd0/game/NPEB-00366

I realized that multiman cannot see it from there so i moved to

    /dev_hdd0/GAMES/Tomb Raider Underworld PSN [NPEB-00366]/PS3_GAME
where there are severeal files and 2 dirs ()tropdir and USrdir

Now multiman see Tomb raider in the list of games, but when i launch it
on the xmb i have a "?" icon (not supported data) and if i try to launch from App_home i get error:80010009

I read all the multiman manual to get to this point and other tutorial to launch psn games.

I have no clues, any help please?

    Thanks

    PS: i've also tried:
-copy it to USB\GAMES\Tomb Raider Underworld PSN [NPEB-00366]/PS3_GAME
    -load with bd emulator

the game says firmware3.20 so i shouldn't need a boot fix, right?
