hey guys,
Now before you guys tell me to read stickies and do research and google search it I'm going to say I did. I've been looking into this for 3 days now since I got my PS3. I am currently at 3.55 with the jail break. I am however having issues playing back ups of both my games.I was having issues even playing the game even with the disk (MLB THE SHOW). I found out I needed a patch file since it asked me about the update which would fail. Once I got the patch file I was able to run the game without hitches, but not run it off the install. I followed a different guide which is to use multiman. I try launching my game in there ( I do see it, but it goes right back to my home screen.
Game 2: Little Big planet. I was getting the eboot error, so following this guide: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f187/ebo...ository-74327/ (EBOOT.bin repository) NO more eboot errors, but I still get the same problem, it tries to launch the game, but it lands me back to the home screen.
I tried launching the game from gaia (sp) and Rogero after running l2 patcher.
Any help would be great. We could use IM or the message board. G talk rehtenk512 @ gmail dot com
Thanks!
::Edit::
Rogero was just updated to 8.2 Now when I click the game it goes to my desktop. However when clicking the game I get: unknown error or just a black screen

I tried with: BR required on and off. I tried both settings since I am not sure which one I should use.

Try going to the lists in my sig links, and find the permissions fix, or fix permissions, whichever one it says you need. Run that. And like hoosier_d stated, put your original files back. And you can launch it from your external drive.
Confused? I know I am

The only drive i use is the drive that comes within the ps3. There is no external drive hooked to my system. Only a flash drive when I move over packages.

I use the drive that it came with. In the computer realm HDD0 is always internal and primary. only use my hard drive on my ps3 nothing else. Do I need an external drive too to run some games is what your telling me?
I am going to FTP LBP back over, I have a back up on my system just to be sure just in case I messed the game up (Which I am sure I did)

Get fixpermissions.pkg and run it. FTP screws up permissions on the internal drive.

OK
I moved my game to: game LAUN12345 GAMEZ. I ran the permissions fixer and rebooted and got the same thing.
This is a fresh copy of the game, I just FTP'd over.
::UPDATE::
I went to game data utility and deleted little big planet. When I launch the game it tells me it needs to do an update. I do the update but midway through it stops and goes back to unknown error.
