I'm doing mark-up at the moment to make it more readable as this was typed in a word doc. Give me a bit of time to make it more readable, thank you!
okay finished, happy reading! Do not be scared by the lengthy text, it's just pretty detailed I guess?
Good luck!

Is there anyway to play back up game from my external hard drive? my ps3 only have 40gb internal hdd and the game I wanna play is 40gb big.
Yes:
- format your external drive to FAT32.
- Create a map GAMEZ on the external drive, copy your game (the whole BLUS23123... whatever name you got) into the created GAMEZ map on the external drive.
- Connect the external drive to your PS3
- open Gaia manager on the PS3
- Select USB on the bottom (I think you can do this by using the d-pad, I'll have to check later tonight when I'm home) and then just select your game and run it.
Note: Games with files over 4GB can not be run from external, so some games might not work and require you to actually put them on the internal drive!
ps: I'm typing this but I'm not sure about the map on the external drive. I'll have to check later at home. But I think it depends on what package for gaia manager you installed in one of the steps above. Where you had the choice of installing 3 different GAIA manager 'programs'.
Good luck!
After installing the PS3UPDAT.PUP, would not install the pkg LV2 and then a manager.
What error do you get? Are you seeing the "install package files" option under the 'Game' section of the xmb?
if not, it means you're not on the custom firmware but just installed the OFW. You need to patch the Official firmware yourself as noted in step 1. Please always do the MD5 hash checker , a wrong hash might brick your PS3!
Tirranny, Sorry for my English,
The sequence for installation correct me is:
OFW --) CFW --) fin here ok, then:
lV2 .pkg --) then again, Multiman or Roggero or Gaia
Then is correct OFW --) CFW --) lv2 .pkg --) Manager ???
The lv2 .pkg after OFW --) CFW ???
Thanks.
Nice tute! Thanks.
Some parts made me laugh, like the Moderfoker bit![]()
