Hrm, I guess so. I didn't notice that line when I was copying and pasting. So, by the GPL license, he has to release the source code as he has made his manager public.
Can I ask how you know this? As I can't find any evidence whatsover that it was released under ANY type of license. In the original release there's just a note asking:
But, he's wrong about the original source being just GPL. It was actually released under GPLv3
"NOTE2: You can modify the program as you want, but please, make public the source code"
Nothing regarding the GPL.
EDIT: Don't get me wrong I don't like his attitude either and have deleted all copies of his managers and I'm using someone else's mod now.
There was a GPL.txt file in the original release on IRC. Don't know why the file was stripped, and by whom. But, in the essence of keeping the scene open source, the original author's comment about the source code should be enough to go by considering all of jurai's code is completely based off that version.

Hmm interesting. I agree with you too. I'm not too bothered about the lack of source code tbh. I'd be happy if it was released at certain intervals, with each stable release for example. Most people's mods are currently just very small modifications, seems people are just experimenting with the code and letting others have alook at their compiled versions. Nothing major has come out yet and even Cover Manager is very very rough around the edges. Nothing impressive. So continuously asking for source code just seems pointless. If we saw some major progress then I'd expect a proper release of code and maybe a public repository setup.

5 minutes of fame will be over soon.
It was over long time ago , hehehehe
ok i tried his version and then i updated to put open manager update patch version didn't see any change on my ps3
working fine and not affected ...
Thanks for the heads up guys. Steering WELL clear of anything he releases...
What a dick...
PS Jailbreak Compatibility:
Looking for any PS3 firmware, see here:
i can care less about the source as well, but even if he was in the right with GPL, it's just a blatant '**** you' to the scene simply because the original REAL author states: "You can modify the program as you want, but please, make public the source code"
that's what the scene is all about. the original REAL author seeks no e-fame, while an ego maniac takes credit. just be happy he isn't trying to make a profit off it, yet.
as long as the truth is provided (and not being censored like on ps3news), the intelligent, respectful scene will keep his work buried.
It's kinda sad to read this, but i had already some arguing with Jurai2
about his behavior. Not only on PS3 News, also on IRC. (Got logs from it)
I will stay away from his software till there is a cleanup.
