Nebie question –
Okey,I have one question to ask? Is there any ps3 jailbreak device that does the job once and for all? O mean,the way I understand it is that; once a ps3 is turned on without the device,the jaillbreak is off!!! Im wondering if th E3 does so... Im planning to purchase it from modchips.ca
Yes, that is correct; the e3 must be in the usb slot and the ps3 turned on with the power button/eject combo to be jailbroken. If you turn it off and take out the e3 and turn back on, it will no longer be jailbroken. All current jailbreaks works like this. Custom firmwares already exist that allow you to pretty much accomplish the same thing without the dongle. You could install one of them. There is now a cheat code system out for the dongles, at least the e3. So if you want that feature, you might want to stay on 3.41 with dongle jailbreak until it is available on custom firmware/back up mangagers.

Thank you so much JML,for you responce. I understand what you say. Just out of curiosity, what kinds of Custom Firmware can make the jailbreak permanent-more or less?
@deniremas Look at this page:
It contains links to lots of useful stuff, including custom firmware. The section: "CFW Prepatched" is the one you want. One of the most popular is 3.55 Kmeaw. Click on that title and it will take you to the page for that firmware here at psx-scene. If you want to stay on 3.41, you could try 3.41 Hermes. Then you would not need the dongle. Be sure you read and understand all instructions before installing. Also, you should use one of the free programs available for verifying the checksum of any firmware you download. [To be extra diligent, you could re-verify the checksum of any firmware file even after you transfer it to your usb drive to stick in your ps3. Luckily, I did once and found out my stick had corrupted the file slightly eventhough it had always worked perfectly.]
yea I know you ask this days ago but I was gone for the weekend (not here that often anyway). good luck.
Thank you so much JML.In the passing time,I went and bought a pre-modded PS3 its got Multi-Man on. With 3 games on the HDD.Im a newbie at all this,I hope to get around to understanding this MultiMan thing.But Im sure this is not the forum for it.
