Downgraded with E3 Can not Jailbreak with X3

Hi Folks,

Currently I have dowgraded my PS3 3.42 to 3.41 with E3 Card Reader and JB my PS3 with it. Until this moment I can use any homebrew with jailbreaking with E3 and play any game with it but my X3MAX has finally arrived. I know that X3MAX can be programmed with any payload that is complied for any specific device so I programmed X3MAX with Hermes 4B (Also tried it with the new 3.55 Spoof payload) and tried it on my PS3. When my PS3 is booting up X3MAX light flashes blue which means it is successfully JB. Open manager or backup manager successfully loads but when I mount a game which was previously working fine with E3 card reader, the game doesn't launch. PS3 displays an error code of 8001003A. Also even if an original BD is in the tray the game icon does not change to the mounted game. When I try to launch the game with the disc icon neither the actual game in the BD tray launches nor the mounted game with open manager

My question will be: is there a restriction with E3 downgraded PS3? I mean can't I JB my PS3 with a different brand JB device if I downgrade it with E3?

to flash the x3max on pc the switch must be set to the right position and to use it on your ps3 it must be set to left position. during flash the leds will stay red and only when jb the leds change from blue/red to blue...

my bet is your doin something wrong with the X3, try a diferent payload perhaps? the downgrade isnt related to how ur suposed to jailbreak after.. I've downgraded a few ps3 with the E3 and had no issue using bot a teensy 2.0 and a minimus avr 32.. I hv a friend whom I've also downgraded the ps3 who now uses a TI-84+ with no issue at all either..

many thanks for your guidance but I did open the cap of X3, slide the little switch to right (just red light), checked if I can see the hex file correctly on the USB and than switch back to left. May be there is sth wrong with the payload I am using but I read that I can program X3 with any payload which is complied for any device. Could you give a link to try programming X3? Can you also advice a specified device payload like AVR, Teensy to program the dev board?

It's on their website.. under theor download page.. get thier 2.0 version.. and also look and find their generic 1.1 bin file..
