Some questions about the P3USB/Max-Pic

Now that the subforum is here and Patrick decided to spread a word on it - I'm going to ask further. That's what Patrick wrote:

it's very easy, we can use the Max-Pic to test every new firmware workable or not, then post to here for the result, if it can work with Max-Pic, then mean it can run on p3free also.

So does that mean, that Max-Pic is a device that will let us test new official firmware to run jailbreak? Does that mean that using this device we can test 3.50 firmware and future releases to check whether jailbreak is possible?

well its more like testing out.. so you don't need to risk the normal dongle... ^^

so if it works on max-pic then it should work on the normal dongle...

fix me if i am wrong.

almost right answer, but reverse will be better:

can the max-pic be bricked?

cuz then that would mean risking bricking the p3free (or pic-fun, im getting confused whats the diff between p3free and "p3free PLUS")

no,it's not easy to brick Max-Pic if you use the right updater.

and if you have FPC programmer, WHY you worry about the "brick Max-Pic" issue? if the HEX don't work , you just need use other HEX to burn again \o/

Nice, can't wait until I get mine. I would get them yesterday but I wasn't at home and now I have to wait two more days. But I already have everything I need: flashers, hex's etc.
