Just got my hands on one of the samples sent out from PS3Yes crew/team. Nothing different from the other clones. It works as it's suppose to and YES it is upgradable. Oh yeah btw it came pre-flashed.

    Features:

    * USB Plug and Play solution that installs in seconds without any need to open up the PS3.
    * Does not break your warranty seal.
    * Compatible with all PS3 models, both Fat and Slim.
    * Supports all regions: USA, JAP, PAL and KOREA.
    * Fully updatable via USB on your PC
    * 32KB onboard flash (most competing products only have 16KB flash)
    * Disables forced software updates and will never brick your console.
    * Supports most games and homebrew applications.
    * Easy-to-use software for backing up, managing, and playing games from external USB Hard Drive.
    * Playing games from HDD is much more enjoyable, benefiting from greatly enhanced seek and loading times.
    * Supports installing homebrew application on PS3 and external USB media.
Game Testing Results: (All games tested using the PS3 80GB internal HDD)
    Code:
Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
    -Played fine, no problems

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
-Played fine (possible problem mentioned online for Act 4 it does not load)

    Resistance: Fall of Man
    -Played fine, no problems

    Resistance 2
    -Played fine, no problems

    God of War Collection
    -Played fine, no problems

    God of War III
    -Played fine, no problems

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
-Not working, crashes when selected in the XMB

    Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
    -Played fine, no problems

    Little Big Planet
    -Played fine, no problems

Have not enough time to test but will do when I have time
    Conclusion:

Overall I am very satisfied with the PS3YES, it did everything it said it would and I did not encounter any problems using it.

    Code:
    Pros:
    Upgradeable via USB
    Small size
    Allows game backups
    Allows homebrew
    Supports external USB HDD
    Does not void warranty
Works on both fat and slim PS3's from any region
Can run open source firmware such as PSGroove/PSFreedom

    Cons:
-Only works on the 3.41 firmware currently

Some important news from their site

Product certification check page was added. In order to protect our products from outside fake goods. All our products from today on will have the official unique certification code, you can verify on this link.
About upgrade: Plug it into PC, after 20 seconds; it can enter upgrade mode and both LEDs light. The PC will find device "AT90USB162 DFU", you can download firmware from us and use FLIP to flash it. If you install the FLIP and install drivers for "AT90USB162 DFU", you can flash HEX files that download from us and keep the "auto enter upgrade mode" function. You can flash it with any HEX file, BUT you will lose the "auto enter upgrade mode" function, after this, next time you have to do a hard upgrade. We are preparing more detail document for how to do a hard upgrade for PS3YES!.

When Inserted into computer for upgrade the blue lights stays on:

Sorry, fix it up again, i attached your original images. -- Once it is ready, I moved it to the front page, thanks for the review, maybe if you willing to crack it open, so people can see the quality of the product inside, soldering layout.

And something that should be added, is how to you reflash? -- no buttons, it is auto-dfu, and if you flash with the off-the-shelf psgroove complied hex, does not mean it looses the auto-dfu mode? -- these are questions that need to be answered!

Ugh, then to make this a proper review the OP has to added that bit to the CON list, thanks for the heads-up.

I wonder what they mean by HARD-UPGRADE? -- opening it and soldering?

You think they should have left a way for it to work both, auto and button!

The last image shows the auto dfu but i added that anyway and I just reflashed with their hex not a different one so I don't know if it looses it's auto dfu mode as of now. But it states that on the site im editing some parts again to include this

well that's just my opinion that it's a con.. but given that they don't abandon their buyers.. i think it could also be a pro.. since it's cheap and easy to use..

i'm not sure about what they meant about hard upgrade.. but i think that would require no less than opening the dongle.. in my understanding, their payloads are coded to enable the dongle to enter DFU mode and then you can use FLIP to flash a new payload.. so if you flash another payload which is not from them, you can't enter DFU mode by just inserting it into the PC..

Right on spot. I think same also. Their hex provided on site still puts the dongle in auto dfu mode after reflashed 4 times. I emailed them about the hard upgrade part though.

All of them have pretty same box design.
